Desktops as end-user computing devices
In the business world, the desktop is still the primary end-user computing device. Laptops, smartphones and tablet computers have all made inroads into the business world, but they have not replaced the desktop computer for most workers. For many tasks, such as creating and editing documents, browsing the web, and sending emails, a desktop computer is still the best choice.
There are a few reasons for this.
o First, desktops are more powerful than laptops or smartphones. They have more storage capacity and can run more demanding applications.
